Ultrasonic welding strength analysis problem solving method

The strength of ultrasonic welding is closely related to the quality of our welding products. In the welding process, the quality of the products welded under different strength conditions is uneven. When using ultrasonic welding, the following phenomena occur. For different reasons, the welding data should be adjusted in different ways.

   1. When the product is too welded, the cause may be: too much input energy.

  This situation can be adjusted in the following ways:

   1. Reduce the use pressure.

   2. Shorten the welding time.

   3. Reduce the number of amplitude segments.

   4. Reduce the descent speed of the welding head.

   2. When the product has insufficient welding, the cause may be: the input energy is too little to work.

  If this happens, you can adjust it in the following ways:

   1. Increase the use pressure.

   2. Increase the welding time.

   3. Increase the number of amplitude segments.

   4. Use a higher power model.

   5. Replace the mold.

3. When the product has uneven welding, when the product has different problems, it should be adjusted according to different methods:

   1. When the workpiece is deformed.

  Solution:

   Check whether the size of the workpiece is qualified.

   Check whether the working conditions cause deformation of the workpiece.

   Adjust the speed or pressure of the buffer.

   2. The contact between the welding head, the bottom mold and the workpiece is uneven.

  Solution:

   The welding line was redesigned to make the height uniform.

  Adjust the level screw.

   Check whether the operating conditions are correct.

   Check the shape and size of the workpiece.

  3. The side of the product is bent.

  Solution:

  Add reinforcement ribs on the workpiece.

   Modify the mold to prevent the workpiece from bending outwards.

  4, the bottom mold is not firmly supported

Solution:

  Improve support points when necessary.

   Redesign the bottom mold.

   Replaced with a hard bottom mold.

   If a large area of bakelite board is inclined, it must be reinforced.

   5. The workpiece error is too large.

  Solution:

  Improve the dimensional accuracy of the workpiece.

   Modify the size of the workpiece.

   Check the operating conditions (pressure, delay time, welding time, curing time, etc.).

   6. The workpiece is not aligned up and down.

  Solution:

   Check whether the workpiece is offset during the welding process.

   Check the alignment of the workpiece during the assembly process.

   Check the parallelism between the welding head, workpiece and metallurgical tools.

  7. Poor contact of the joint surface.

  Solution:

   Check the size of the workpiece.

   Check the tolerance of the workpiece.

   Check the position of the sleeve on the joint surface.

   Check whether the upper and lower workpieces are aligned.

   Check whether the workpiece is recessed and has uneven contact with the welding head.

   8. The welding head contact is uneven.

  Solution:

   Check the fit between the workpiece and the welding head.

   Check whether the support of the mold is appropriate.
