The structural piezoelectric crystal of the medical ultrasonic transducer is the main functional part, used to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves, and complete the sound-electricity and electric-acoustic conversion work. Its geometry and size are designed according to diagnostic requirements. Because piezoelectric crystals are relatively brittle and require insulation, sealing, and corrosion resistance, the piezoelectric crystals must be packed into the shell. Two ends of the piezoelectric crystal are plated with electrodes, and the upper and lower electrodes are respectively welded with a lead wire, which is connected with the electrode insert on the shell to transmit electrical signals. The cushion sound-absorbing material (also called absorption block, sound-absorbing block) is used to attenuate and absorb the ultrasonic energy radiated from the back of the piezoelectric crystal, so that it is not reflected back and forth in the probe and the ringing time of the crystal is prolonged, so cushion The liner has a large attenuation ability and has an acoustic impedance close to that of the piezoelectric material, so that all sound waves radiated from the piezoelectric crystal back into the liner and no longer reflect back into the crystal. The sound-absorbing material is generally a ring. Oxygen resin plus tungsten powder, or ferrite powder plus rubber powder.
