Each ultrasonic welding machine is equipped with an ultrasonic generator. The ultrasonic generator has an overload indicator. The ultrasonic welding machine will not respond when it is running normally. When the ultrasonic welding machine fails, the overload indicator will alarm. On, how do we troubleshoot the cause of the fault in this situation?

    There are 4 methods to eliminate the cause of the ultrasonic overload alarm:

    1. No-load test: If the current is normal, it may be that the ultrasonic welding head has contacted objects that should not be touched or the parameter adjustment between the ultrasonic welding head and the welding seat has failed. This can be solved by adjustment.

    2. Sometimes there will be situations where the no-load test is normal but not working properly. It may be that the internal sound energy components such as ultrasonic welding heads have changed, resulting in poor sound energy transmission.

    3. Hand touch method: Judgment method. The amplitude of the normal working ultrasonic mold or horn surface is very uniform when it is working, and the hand feels velvety smooth. When the sound energy is not transmitted smoothly, there will be a feeling of bubbles or burrs on the hand. It is necessary to use the elimination method to eliminate the problematic parts. The same situation can occur when the ultrasonic generator is abnormal, because normally, the input waveform of the transducer should be detected as a smooth sine wave. This phenomenon can also occur when there are spikes or abnormal waveforms on the sine wave. At this time, you can replace it with another whole ultrasonic energy component for judgment.

    4. No-load test is abnormal: Firstly, observe whether the ultrasonic mold has cracks and whether it is tightened. Secondly, remove the ultrasonic welding head and perform no-load test to rule out whether the transducer or horn is faulty, and eliminate it step by step. After eliminating the possibility of failure of the transducer or horn, replace the new ultrasonic welding head for judgment.
